वो मंज़र ही क्या जो फ़ीका न हो,

बस मंज़िल साफ दिखनी चाहिए !

मुश्किलें तो आती ही रहेंगी ज़िन्दगी में,

बस वो सलीक़े से गुज़र जानी चाहिए !!

अब बहुत हो चुकी अच्छाई,

अब खूबियां मैं अपनी दिखाऊंगा।

फिर लौटूंगा एक नए आदाज़ में,

सब देखेंगे मुझको, एक नया जहान बनाऊंगा।।

जब-जब तुम दुनिया से अलग रहें, मानो तुम गलत रहें,

इन शब्दों को गलत लिखकर, मैं सबकी हथेली में छाप दूंगा।

इन नाकामियों से कहो अपनी हद में रहे, 

मैं शायर हूँ अपनी कलम से एक-एक को माप दूंगा।।

मौसम थोड़ा बदलने तो दो।

वही रुतबा फिर से वही जलाल होगा,

अभी वक़्त बुरा है, इसे ज़रा गुज़रने तो दो।।

ये मक़सद नहीं मेरा की एक शहर को अपना बनाऊँ, 

चाहत तो बस इतनी सी है,

कि ख़रीदने ग़र मक़ान जाऊँ, तो पूरा ज़माना ही ख़रीद लाऊँ !!
